Defence-tech and NewSpace start-ups: communications to raise, sell and hire

A defence-tech or NewSpace start-up has to convince three audiences at once that do not speak the same language: investors, public buyers and candidates. We help build one core story, adapted for each, and make it visible where those audiences look, including in generative AI search.

A market that is opening up

Money is easier to find, but so is competition: every call for proposals and every investment committee receives more applications. A clear story becomes a competitive advantage.

Three audiences, one story

AudienceTheir questionWhat to show them
InvestorsWhy will this team win this market?Addressable market, traction, milestones, team
Public buyers and programmesIs it reliable, compliant and useful for the mission?Demonstrations, trials, compliance, roadmap
CandidatesDo I want to spend the next few years here?Mission, team, culture, prospects

The most common mistakes

  1. Leading with technology rather than the problem: people need to understand what you solve before they care how.
  2. Using the whole sector’s buzzwords (“sovereign”, “disruptive”, “dual-use”) without evidence that sets you apart.
  3. Promising unproven performance, which sector experts spot immediately.
  4. Neglecting English, when EU funding and partners work in it.
  5. Leaving no online footprint that AI engines can use: an investor or buyer asking an AI assistant will not find you.

Our experience

Since 2025, we have supported Starburst, an aerospace start-up accelerator, and its consortium under EUDIS, the European Commission’s defence innovation scheme: campaigns, films, content, visuals and media relations.

Who it is for, and our limits

  • For defence, security and space start-ups and scale-ups, from seed to Series B.
  • We do not raise funds for you and are not M&A advisers: we prepare the story and the materials.
  • We do not guarantee the outcome of an application: we make it clearer and its dissemination more effective.

How we work

We work in two ways: per project, on a quote based on your brief, or as an ongoing partnership on a fee basis. For a first diagnosis, we offer a €2,500 audit, credited against the assignment if you go ahead.

Frequently asked questions

When should we bring in an agency?

Ideally before a funding round or an application: a story is best built ahead of a deadline, not the night before.

Do we need an English website from day one?

In defence and space, in practice yes: partners, investors and EU programmes work in English.

How do we start on a small budget?

With a €2,500 audit, credited against the assignment if you go ahead, which prioritises the actions.
